PROJECT
Method of rehabilitation of urban areas across Europe through multidisciplinary activities developed in three living open innovation laboratories.
Three Living Labs in the cities of Genk (BE), Pamplona (ES) and Tartu (EE) will test combinations of different technologies and close-to-market services, studying their performance as a single operating system. The UPV/EHU collaborates on issues related to social innovation (co-creation), energy efficiency and circularity in buildings, LCA, AR and VR, digitization, and the improvement of workflows and prefabrication.
Dates: October 2021 – March 2026
OBJECTIVE
The objective of the project is to identify and test replicable and commercially viable solutions that allow the implementation of energy-positive neighbourhoods in existing urban contexts. In line with the European Union´s goal of becoming climate neutral by 2050.
