PROJECT
Campusa EHUntzen: weaving connections among young people is a research project that aims to prevent and reduce unwanted loneliness among young people, using the University of the Basque Country (Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, EHU) Gipuzkoa Campus as an innovation laboratory.
Developed by a multidisciplinary team in collaboration with Donostia/San Sebastián City Council, the project combines participatory methods, social and environmental analysis, and the activation of campus spaces to explore how the physical environment can foster social relationships, a sense of belonging and student wellbeing.
The research includes an assessment of youth loneliness, the development of pilot interventions and the evaluation of their impact. Its aim is to generate tools and recommendations that can be transferred to other universities and public authorities. The project forms part of the HARIAK Strategy and champions an innovative, measurable and replicable approach.
