Academic bakground
Architect by the Technical School of Architecture of Donostia-San Sebastian of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) (2012); Master Degree in Environment and Bioclimatic Architecture by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (2014); beneficent of the Predoctoral Training Programme for Non-Doctor Research Personnel of the Department of Education of the Basque Government (2016-2020); PhD Architect in the Doctoral Programme in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Engineering and Architecture by the UPV/EHU (2020) with Cum Laude mention to the Thesis Identidad territorial, arquitectónica e higrotérmica del valle del Lea. Criterios hacia la intervención equilibrada, which was co-directed by Lauren Etxepare Igiñiz (PhD Architect, UPV/EHU) and Margarita de Luxán García de Diego (Emeritus Professor, UPM).
Research experience
She is currently member and researcher of CAVIAR Research Group under the project Plan de actuación para dinamizar e implementación del PCTI Euskadi 2020-2030 en el ámbito de ciudades sostenibles. She also collaborates in two public call projects: LocalREGEN?E. Metodología multi?criterio para la evaluación de estrategias locales de rehabilitación de la vivienda del País Vasco bajo la perspectiva de Ciclo de Vida funded by the State I+D+i Programme of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, and Desarrollo de una metodología con perspectiva de ciclo de vida para evaluar las actuaciones de rehabilitación energética del parque existente atendiendo a las exigencias del nuevo código técnico financed by the PUE 2020-2021 call of the Department of Education of the Basque Government.
Her previous research experience was matured under the project Caracterización energética de las instalaciones del parque construido público residencial y los estudios de eficiencia energética de edificios con criterio nZEB, which was developed for the Public Society Alokabide (Basque Government) and directed by Rufino Javier Hernández Minguillón.
Additionally, during her predoctoral training, she also collaborated in the project Estudio previo para la elaboración del Plan de Acción a largo plazo en el parque de edificios de Euskadi, which was developed for the Head Office of Territorial Planning, Urban Planning and Urban Regeneration of the Basque Government.
She is also member of the Organizing Committee of the European Conference on Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Architecture and Urbanism (EESAP 12) and the International Conference of Advanced Construction (CICA 5), which is directed by Rufino Javier Hernández Minguillón. She has been a member of the Committee since the eighth edition of EESAP.
Regarding scientific dissemination, during the last 5 years she has participated in various international conferences and she has published scientific articles in indexed journals (JCR, SJR).
Professional experience
Her professional career has been mainly focused on research. However, she has also worked as environmental consultant in energy consultancies.
