Currently pursuing doctoral studies in the EESIA programme of the Departments of Energy Engineering and Architecture at the University of the Basque Country (EHU).

Predoctoral researcher (PIF) in the CAVIAR “Quality of Life in Architecture” research group (EHU).

His research focuses on Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) in residential, educational, and office buildings, with special attention to thermal comfort, natural lighting, indoor air quality (IAQ), ventilation systems, energy efficiency, and a critical perspective on the cost–benefit relationship of certain architectural and building systems solutions. He has participated in research projects such as

SMA(i)RT (Eraikal 2023–25), DOMAIR (AEI – MINTUR, 2023–26), and in five editions of the CBL programme of the EHU Sustainability Directorate. He has authored 30 publications, more than 10 of which are articles in international scientific journals. He curated the itinerant version of the exhibition Énergies Légères at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal (San Sebastián, 2025) as part of the 5th edition of Mugak/, International Architecture Biennial of the Basque Country.

His professional experience lies at the intersection of applied research, teaching, and architectural practice, particularly in building refurbishment and improving environmental performance. He has collaborated as a research assistant on architecture and building projects since 2018 and worked as a contracted researcher (PIC) in the CAVIAR group. He has professional experience at Diogo Aguiar Studio (Porto, 2021–22) and has practised independently as a registered architect at COAVN since 2021.
