Architect specializing in building from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (1997), Diploma of Advanced Studies in History and Architectural Composition (2009), Doctor with the doctoral thesis entitled “Evaluation of the Passivhaus construction standard and its application in the climatic field of the Basque Autonomous Community and the Navarre Foral Community” (2015), Diplôme de la Langue Française (B2). Teaching experience

Associate Professor in Graphic Expression, E.T.S. Architecture from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (2002-2005), Associate Professor in Architectural Projects, E.T.S. Architecture from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (2005-2008).

From 2018 to the present, he is Interim Labor Professor in the Area of Architectural Constructions, E.T.S. Architecture of the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, teaching subjects related to Sustainability, Environmental Conditioning, Construction, etc. He is also Professor of the Master’s Degree in Architecture at the University of the Basque Country, of the Master’s Degree in “Research in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Industry, Transport, Building and Urban Planning” of the University of the Basque Country and of the Master’s Degree in Gastronomic Spaces of the University of Basque Country.

Iñigo is director of final degree projects, final degree and master’s projects, >30 to date.

Research experience

Researcher of the Consolidated Group of the University of the Basque Country IT1135-16 “Quality of Life in Architecture”, with the projects “Solar Decathlon Europe 2012”, “Integración de sistemas de enfriamiento ecoeficientes en viviendas”, “Nzeb Rehabilitación Inteligente De Edificios Bajo Criterios De Energía Casi Nulo”.

Researcher of the Research Project of a competitive call of an Autonomous nature The peninsula of Zorrotzaurre in the Bilbao estuary. Analysis of its background, urban and social evolution of a port environment converted into an area of opportunity. Reading of the maritime-industrial configuration on the water fronts. Member number 311,685 of the Official College of Basque-Navarro Architects (1997-Present).

Free exercise of the profession, carrying out various projects in the private and public sphere, both in new construction and in rehabilitation. In 2007 he prepared, together with the Official College of Basque-Navarre Architects, the exhibition “Provocation-Constructive / Probokazio Konstruktiboa” and a cycle of conferences associated with it on the new architecture in Voralrberg, Austria.
