Action Plan for the Centre for Research and Innovation in Urban Regeneration
PROJECT
CI+IRU is designed as a tool to promote unifying driving projects, as well as the dissemination and transfer of knowledge in the field of sustainable cities in the Basque Country aiming to position the region as a leader in innovation for Urban Regeneration, not only in theoretical and scientific terms but also in practical applications.
The CI+IRU framework is structured around four strategic lines with the greatest potential in the specific field of urban sustainability and territorial development:

First phase: June 2021 – December 2022
Second phase: June 2023 – December 2024
OBJECTIVE
CI+IRU’s mission is to transform the best urban regeneration ideas for sustainable cities into reality within the framework of Europe’s 2050 vision. The project’s main objectives are to promote the transfer of scientific excellence, technological and industrial leadership, and open innovation, as well as to develop strategies for implementing the Urban Agenda 2050.
