Action Plan associated with the Centre of Research and Innovation in Urban Regeneration

The CI+IRU is designed as a tool to promote unifying driving projects and the dissemination and transfer of knowledge in the field of sustainable cities in the Basque Country to position the region as a leader in the field of innovation for Urban Regeneration, not only in the theoretical and scientific terms but also in practical applications.

The CI+IRU framework is defined around four strategic lines with the greatest potential in the specific field of sustainability in cities and the territory:

First phase: June 2021 – December 2022

Second phase: June 2023 – December 2024

CI+IRU’s mission is to transform the best urban regeneration ideas for sustainable cities into reality within the framework of the European 2050. The project’s main objectives are to promote the transfer of scientific excellence, technological and industrial leadership, and open innovation, and to develop transfer strategies to implement the Urban Agenda 2050.
